The last 2 years have been dedicated to the fieldwork of visiting all Dutch coffeeshops just before the Dutch regulations got into place. We have chosen to do 2 DIFFERENT competitions one for the legal c.q regulated products from only the best coffeeshops who partake in the experiment.
And then we have the core of the competition the heart and soul of the culture. The O.G, the legacy market the backbone of the culture worldwide. How much of what we know today finds its origins in Europe?
Methods, tools, and instruments
– Mindfulness Explained Document
– Dutch Flowers Score Form
– Intuitive score form
– Evaluation form judges
– Evaluation form participants (will be handed out when handing over the products)
We got many requests for a specific area in the Netherlands from many of our participants, and we kind of like that proactive spirit. Maybe we have multiple locations and days where you can deliver your products? But that is for after registration. As HIGHEST judge, the task of gathering all the top secret data is written in the stars for our founder.
These are our guidelines:
– Regulated will not compete against legal. Unite, not divide!
– We have selected over 33 judges, amongst whom are some of the greatest minds that the plant has touched.
– Judges are allowed to be proud to be a judge but we ask them to keep voting private untill the points are in.
– Judges will get a month to finish this main quest, the higher court of the Netherlands.
– Fair play first. We want coffeeshops to participate with the products they have in store, not a small batch specifically bought somewhere for the competition.
– All scores will be kept secret, but the top 10 will be published.
– It’s not about sponsors or a cash grab; we are serious in discussing what is the best of the best.
– Judges will also be examined on how good they are at judging products.
– Judges will get a judge kit and will have to sign an NDA, to protect the competition. We can not use infiltration in an event as magical as this.
– IT IS NOT ALLOWED FOR PARTICIPANTS TO VISIT OR INVITE JUDGES IN ADVANCE OR DURING THE COMPETITION.
– Trying to buy an award = disqualification!!
– There is a payment limit of 1500 for all products you want to enter, above that amount, it’s free of charge.
– PLEASE KEEP THE NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICAN STUFF IN THE AMERICAS CATEGORIE
After the competition, all votes will be counted and all winners will be called.
At the beginning of 2026, there will be a winner’s dinner. Where ALL PREVIOUS DUTCH FLOWERS COMPETITION WINNERS FROM ALL EDITIONS ARE INVITED. And since this is our own website and not Instagram: maaaaaan we’re going to get fucking high as fuck together!
We will do a trophy tour in December… and release the magazine shortly after! We do this together. We got a lot of registrations, even more interest, and there is still room in each category, but be quick.
